Police Holy Name Society of Nassau County

Bob Ferguson, the 21st President of the Society (1981-1985) and Ed Richards, the 22nd President of the Society (1985-1987) instituted the Police Holy Name Scholarship Committee during their terms in the 1980s and it has grown through the good stewardship of our Trustees since.

Howie Herold – Was the 19th President of the Society (1974-1978) and a Detective in the Main Office. He was killed in an explosion at Colonial Firearms in Levittown. In honor of his commitment to the Society, his wife, Grace, established a scholarship in his memory.
